first obsession.

One question can take you back to the month an artist became your whole personality. Every answer comes from the plays in your archive.

The late nights. The summer abroad. The band you quietly stopped playing. There’s more in there than a top five.

Bring your own AI

Your history can join the conversation in Claude or ChatGPT, too.

Connect ListenLens, ask a question, then keep going. Turn the answer into a chart, a write-up of your decade in music, or a poster for your wall. The connection is read-only.

Your history stays yours.

A database of your own. Every account gets its own separate database. Your plays never sit in a shared table next to anyone else’s.

Read-only, always. ListenLens can only read your history. Its queries cannot change or delete your listening data.

Never sold. No ads. We don’t sell, rent or hand your history to advertisers or data brokers. There are no ad trackers here.

The AI sees answers, not your file. To answer, the AI gets your question and the few results it looked up, never your whole export.

IP addresses stay out. Spotify’s export logs an IP address for every play. We never put them into the data you or an AI can look at.

You hold the plug. Connecting Claude or ChatGPT is optional and yours to decide. Disconnect any app from your settings in one click.

Start with
your history.

Request your export from Spotify today. It usually lands in your inbox within a few days.

Request your data
  1. Request it today

In Spotify’s privacy settings, ask for your Extended Streaming History. Our guide walks you through it in about two minutes.

  2. Look out for a zip

Spotify usually emails it within a few days. Keep the zip as it is; that’s the file you’ll upload.

  3. Open the conversation

Upload your file, and we’ll turn your plays into a private database you can ask questions.

A few good questions.

Is this another Spotify Wrapped? Wrapped is a highlight reel of one year, picked for you. ListenLens is your entire history, every play since your first, and you decide what to look at. Compare eras, chase a memory, settle an argument.

What data does it use? Spotify’s Extended Streaming History export: every song you played, when, for how long, and whether you skipped it, plus shuffle, device and country. Podcasts and audiobooks aren’t included yet.

Who can see my listening history? You. Your history lives in its own private database. When you ask a question in the web chat, the question and the rows that answer it are sent to OpenAI’s API to write the reply. If you connect Claude or ChatGPT, the same goes to the assistant you chose, and only while it’s connected. We never sell your data or share it with advertisers.

How do I see my all-time Spotify stats? Spotify’s app shows your recent top artists and Wrapped covers one year. Your all-time listening lives in the Extended Streaming History export, which you can request for free. Upload it to ListenLens and ask for your top songs of all time, your first plays, or any year side by side. Access to older history depends on your plan.

Do I need Claude or ChatGPT? No. ListenLens has its own chat with tables and charts built in. Connecting an assistant is an extra for when you want custom visuals or to mix your listening into a bigger conversation.

Do I need Spotify Premium? No. Anyone can request their Extended Streaming History from Spotify’s privacy settings, free or Premium.

Can I try it before my export arrives? Yes. Request your export (it usually arrives within a few days), then sign in with your email and ask a sample listener’s history anything in the meantime.
